First new committee meeting; Chair appointed - November 2025

The new members of the Joint Accessibility Advisory Meeting (JAAC) met for the first time on November 19, 2025.

At the meeting, the new committee members received a thorough orientation and were given copies of the Accessibility Plans of all the organizations the JAAC supports.

The group also chose a Chair for the group: Douglas van der Meulen. Douglas is a Supervisor at PNGI, a local organization that "coaches and empowers people to live their best lives".

Finally, the group agreed to write a letter of support for the City of Terrace to apply to Sparc BC's Local Community Accessibility Grant Program. More details to come!
