Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan Complete

Terrace FireSmart is pleased to present the Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan to the public. This document provides the framework for planning wildfire prevention within our community. It addressed the following key goals in wildfire risk mitigation:

  • Increase community capacity and understanding wildfire risk
  • Foster greater collaboration across administrative boundaries
  • Be more responsive to the needs of the community in terms of size, capacity, potential threats
  • Develop achievable and accountable action items

Funding to develop this document comes from the Government of BC's Community Resiliency Funding (CRI) program, through the Union of BC Municipalities.
