The 4600 Lakelse Avenue Revitalization Project started off as a proposal brought to Council by Terrace Downtown Improvement Area (TDIA) to turn the 4600 Lakelse Avenue into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly place where the community can gather, and tourists will travel to see.This proposal was formally adopted by City Council and became a 2026 Capital Project. The City of Terrace has continued to work closely with our community partner TDIA to ensure that their original vision can become a reality.

Developing this budget involves making difficult decisions between essential programs, infrastructure demands, and the wants and needs of residents.The City of Terrace needs to ensure it is budgeting adequately to maintain long-term financial stability for the future of the community as well as focusing on the wants and needs of today.
