CWRPs provide a framework for wildfire risk mitigation within communities. The City of Terrace's CWRP will outline recommendations with different suggested priority levels. These, along with regional fire departments and other stakeholder input, will craft next steps and future plans to reduce wildfire risk.
Key goals of the CWRP planning process
Increase community capacity and understanding of wildfire risk;
Foster greater collaboration within and across administrative boundaries;

Be more responsive to the needs of the community in terms of size, capacity, potential threats; and
Develop achievable and accountable action items.
This initiative is being led by the City's FireSmart Coordinator. More information about the the City's FireSmart program is on the City website.
